We introduced an expanded User Profile interface that contains new account functionalities. These features include a dedicated API Key management section.
Navigating to Your Account Settings
To view and manage the features described below, first ensure you are logged into your Routescan account. Once logged in, navigate to your profile dashboard by:
Locating your user icon or address in the top right corner of the screen.
Clicking the icon to open the dropdown menu.
Select "My Profile" to enter the dedicated profile management area.
Profile Management Tabs Explained
The profile area is now structured with tabs for Overview, Usage, Address Notes, Transactions Notes, and the API section: API Keys.
Overview
The Overview tab provides essential profile details, including the creation date of your account and options to manage data, such as installing the Export Extension or importing data from an Etherscan Profile. This section also displays the available API Plan Subscription options (Standard, Advanced, Professional, and Pro Plus), allowing users to review and upgrade their current API access limits.
For a fundamental understanding of API key tiers, pricing, and how to use the key in query requests, please see the main API Keys article.
Usage
The Usage tab is dedicated to monitoring your current API request limits. This section displays three key metrics related to your daily API usage:
Limit: The maximum number of API requests permitted per day based on your current API Plan Subscription.
Remaining: The number of API requests still available to you for the current period.
Reset: The time remaining until your daily request counter resets and your limit is fully restored.
Address and Transactions Notes
These tabs are dedicated to private labeling, allowing you to personalize and organize your blockchain activity confidentially:
Address Notes: This section allows the creation of private labels and descriptions for specific blockchain addresses (e.g., tagging a known exchange wallet or a personal cold storage wallet). Users input the address, a label title, and an optional description.
Transactions Notes: This section serves an identical function but applies labels and notes directly to specific transaction hashes (Tx Hash), enabling users to keep a private record of the purpose or details of a particular transaction.
This functionality is designed for clarity, allowing you to tailor your blockchain experience while maintaining confidentiality, as these notes are stored privately within your account.
API Keys
The API Keys tab allows you to generate and manage your access keys for interaction with blockchain data.
Key Generation: You can generate up to three unique API keys.
Management: The API Keys tab lists all your generated keys, showing the label, creation date, and provides options to edit the label
Security: You have the ability to toggle a key's status (enable/disable) or, if necessary, permanently delete it.
The expanded profile interface offers you control over your account settings and usage. You can now manage API key access, monitor usage limits, and personalize your blockchain data with private notes, all from one dedicated dashboard.
